EVERY GREAT MEAL HAS A BEGINNING

PICKLE BARREL

01

THE BUSINESS SITUATION

Canadians increasingly care about where their food comes from. But "locally sourced" had become a menu claim rather than a meaningful connection. The opportunity wasn't simply to tell guests that Pickle Barrel buys local. It was to make local feel personal. To celebrate the people behind every ingredient and strengthen the connection between growers, restaurants and guests.

02

FIND WHAT'S TRUE

Farmers spend months growing exceptional food, only to watch it leave the farm without ever seeing where it ends up. They rarely meet the chefs who prepare it or the families who gather around it. The food journey felt incomplete, leaving an opportunity to reconnect the people who grow our food with the people who enjoy it.

03

IMAGINE WHAT COULD BE

What if we could complete the food circle? Rather than simply promoting local ingredients, we celebrated the people behind them. Our culinary team travelled to a local farm, prepared a surprise farm-to-table dinner using the very ingredients the family had grown, and invited them to experience the final chapter of their own harvest. For one evening, the people who usually feed everyone else became the guests.

04

MAKE IT REAL

Local Harvest became more than a seasonal promotion; it became a story of gratitude. Through documentary-style film, photography, restaurant communications, digital content and social storytelling, we celebrated the relationship between local growers, Pickle Barrel chefs and the communities they serve, reminding guests that every great meal begins long before it reaches the table.

BRAND FILM

A SURPRISE WE'LL NEVER
FORGET, NEITHER WILL WILLIAM BOOT

Every season begins with someone who believes in the land. Long before a meal reaches the table, farmers invest months of hard work, care and patience into every crop they grow. Yet once that harvest leaves the farm, they rarely get to see where it ends up; or the joy it creates. To celebrate our Local Harvest program, we travelled back to one of the farms that supplies Pickle Barrel and surprised the family with a farm-to-table dinner prepared by our chefs using the very ingredients they had grown.

BROADCAST

SHOWCASING THE
PASSION OF LOCAL
GROWERS

It starts long before sunrise and ands much after the sunset. Our broadcast piece was crafted to showcase the passion of local growers and their love for local grown food.

The Bigger Truth

EVERY EXTRAORDINARY IDEA STARTS OFF AS IMPOSSIBLE. THE DIFFERENCE IS HAVING THE CONVICTION TO KEEP GOING UNTIL EVERYONE ELSE CAN SEE IT TOO.

We are here if you have questions about budgets for projects we have done, if you want an opinion, if you want to see more work, if you want a credentials deck, or if you want to join our team. Maybe you want to have coffee and talk about how we work, how you work, or how the industry works.
